Norma Holmes is an accomplished pastel artist and oil painter, having accrued many national and international awards. Based in Central Oregon, Holmes brings the beauty of the high desert to life with her landscapes and representations of country living.

“Painting is my passion.  I paint with joy….the drama of the Cascade Mountains bathed in early morning light, the intriguing silence of the High Desert, and the vivid color of the Metolius River.  Mother Nature is my inspiration.”

Holmes prefers painting with pastels and is a signature member of the Northwest Pastel Society.  Her work has been highlighted in the Pastel Journal in March 2004, and in March and July of 2001; The International Pastel Magazine in July 2002; and the Pastel Highlights American Artist’s Collector”s Edition in 1997.
